My father was a police officer, he instilled in us, when dealing with the police; name, rank and serial number or name, address and telephone number. Sign Nothing. Confess to nothing.

Ive only hadone bad experience with a cop. It really opened my eyes though. Whether I am innocent or not, if they take me to a back room it will be one word Lawyer!

The FIRST word out of YOUR mouth MUST BE 'I", followed by, "demand to speak with an attorney". Remember that when the pigs don't have a clue, they WILL chose a person at random to accuse, leaving it up to YOU to prove YOUR innocence.

I always carry the business card of a local attorney in my wallet. Because the only thing I will say to a police officer is: "I want my attorney present before I talk to you".

If every member of the Winnipeg police here in Canada died tomorrow, it would be too soon for me! If people think American cops can get away with a lot, they have nothing on Canadian cops! ALL evidence of officers conduct in any shape or form can only come from someone with a law enforcement background. This goes as far as to make it voluntary for cop as well as cadets to release their notes written on taxpayer notepads with taxpayers pens. Even in the case of a cold blooded killing by police. The Winnipeg police murdered 3 native minors in 10 days last summer and the only thing that ever happened is the cops playing the victim. The only way we can ever hope to hold cops accountable for anything is if they all suddenly can no longer work so that it will cost roughly as much to start all over again. sigh! #FTP #FTWPS
